CHRISTIAN / MORMON DID YOU KNOW:

The Official Teachings of Mormon Prophets Do Not Allow for the Virgin Birth

Although Mormonism gives lip service to the "virgin" birth, it does
not, in reality, teach that Jesus was born of a virgin.

The following LDS doctrinal beliefs make the virgin birth an impossibility:

1. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit/ Ghost are three separate
beings and three separate Gods.

2. God the Father is an exalted man of flesh and bones. Who procreates
with his wife / wives in the celestial kingdom.

3. Jesus is the literal Son of God the Father, so he could not have
been conceived / begotten by the Holy Spirit.

As a result of these heretical doctrines, the following LDS quotes
reveal Mormonism's confusion about the "virgin" birth.

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints proclaims that Jesus
Christ is the Son of God in the most literal sense. The body in which
He performed his mission in the flesh was sired by that same Holy
Being we worship as God, our Eternal Father. Jesus was not the son of
Joseph, nor was he begotten by the Holy Ghost. He is the Son of the
Eternal Father." (Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, pg. 7)

"We are told in scriptures that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son
of God in the flesh. Well, now for the benefit of the older ones, how
are children begotten? I answer just as Jesus was begotten of his
father...

Daddy + Mommy = You;
Our Heavenly Father + Mary = Jesus."
(Family Home Evening, LDS Church, 1972, pg. 125-126).

"I believe that He [Jesus] was born of Mary of the lineage of David as
the promised Messiah, that He was in very deed begotten of the
Father..." (Liahona, July 2006, In These Three I Believe, President
Gordon B. Hinkley)

"Christ was begotten by an Immortal Father in the same way that mortal
men are begotten by mortal fathers." (Mormon Doctrine, Bruce R.
McConkie, Only Begotten Son, pg. 546-547.)

This contradicts the Bible which states:

Isaiah 9:6:
6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Luke 1:31-35:

31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Think about it....

Blessings,
Chip
